A 7-storey grade II listed building located in the heart of Mayfair which required a full internal and external refurbishment. The client showed no hesitation in securing Minerva Building Restoration Limited as the Principal Contractor.

As with all refurbishment contracts involving listed buildings, close liaison with the local council/conservation officer was of paramount importance.
​
The purpose of the project was to provide high end commercial/office space for an existing client.
​
Minerva were instructed to undertake a sympathetic internal strip out to enable the main elements of the works to be carried out namely:

New MF ceilings and lighting schemes to all floors were incorporated.

Timber floors were levelled and carpeted/tiled/parquet.

Liquid coatings were applied to main roof areas and parapet gutters. These coatings received 20year insurance backed guarantees.

Replacement of mechanical and electrical supplies/air conditioning systems/fire and burglar alarms/plumbing systems including a new purpose-built plan room at roof level.

A passenger lift was installed giving access to each floor.

Bespoke joinery installed in all cloakrooms.

Shower rooms provided in the lower grounds.

A full programme of decoration was implemented throughout the building.

Externally Minerva were instructed to provide a full height scaffolding to the front elevation which enabled all masonry and timber repairs to be carried out.
​
Following the completion of the masonry and timber repairs we were asked to decorate all timber sash windows/entrance doors/masonry and street level railing using Dulux/Akzo Nobel paint systems.
