Stoke Brunswick School

A large co-educational school, Stoke Brunswick School was an independent boarding school based in West Sussex, East Grinstead. The oldest part of the building dates back to the 14th Century built in a Tudor style and was the hunting lodge belonging to John of Gaunt, the third son of Kind Edward III.

Scope of Works:
  • ​Replace, renew and refix 2000 ‘kent peg’ tiles.
  • Scaffold all working areas with 1 boarded lift at eaves level.
  • Repointing stone work with a weak sandstone, dust and hydraulic lime mortar.
  • Decoration to all out buildings.
  • Window repairs to defective oak timbers, including full oak sill and window replacement with bespoke leaded light glazing.
  • Moss cleaning from all ‘kent peg’ tile roofs.
  • Many of the original leaded lights had broken down and were repaired at the workshops and then reinstated on site by our craftsmen.
